Reflection
The thing about my internship is that I have experience at my internship so many skills transferred. Some other skills that I hadn't previously used at that job that was useful we woodworking skills that I learned from my father. I was able to put these skills to use when building a fence on a job. I was also able to use some interpersonal skills I had previously developed when interacting with clients and coworkers.
While I didn't learn many new hands-on skills I did learn some more business skills like the benefits and risks of biding a job versus working for an hourly rate, as well as some other small business tips and insights. Around bidding jobs I learned it can be risky because you can screw yourself if you underbid your average rate and you can end up losing money can but it can be lucrative because there is the potential to make more than your hourly rate if you bid it right. I also learned that an hourly rate is safe because you know how much you will be making.
The biggest trouble I had during my link was my energy, after a couple days of hard work in a row I found it harder and harder to get out of bed, go to work, and do good work once I got there. To combat this I did a number of things the biggest and most helpful being making a conscious effort to go to sleep earlier. I also made a concerted effort to make myself a good breakfast and lunch every morning as sometimes I would leave the house without either.
While I have worked this job in the past I had never really worked multiple 5 day weeks in a row and doing this has made me realize more that I do not want to do hard labor for a career and definitely not be stuck in that position in a company. It did make me realize that starting a business is feasible for a person like me but I would do it in a different way than my mentor did.

LINK Project
For my LINK project I remodeled the garden area next by the entrance to my house. I selected the flowers special for the space and added an irrigation system to keep them happy and heathy for years to come..
