College Preparation
My top values for and most important considerations for picking a college after high school are geographic location and social atmosphere. Geographic location is by and large the most important thing for me because I don't think I could do anything efficiently if I could go skiing and do what I love. I also want to explore new places and going to college in a cool place is a great way to do that. Social atmosphere is also important to me because I want to be surrounded by like minded people and be able to have a good solid group of friends.
I think that my "best fit" college is a college where there is balance between academics and time to create new experiences. I also need a college that is in a place that allows me to do what I love as well as one that has a good supportive community. I will likely choose to go to a smaller school because I think that caters to my learning style better as well as provides a better social environment for me personally.
Callings
I have learned that for many people and potentially me a fulfilling career doesn't look like what they thought it would look like. For example your dream job that makes you a ton of money may not be as fulfilling as another ordinary or unexpected job that allows you to help others or interact with others and make their day better along with yours. One takeaway that I have from this is that, like I said above my dream job that I went to school for may not make me the happiest and most sustainable for me.
Transcripts
At the moment I am considering a career in engineering or architecture. If I chose this path it would involve an engineering major of sorts. I am also considering a business major as this would give more freedom to choose my path after graduating college. My choices in high school can be instrumental in achieving these goals therefore I should continue to try my best especially in the math electives that I choose to take.
YouScience
From the YouScience results I learned that I am a goal oriented person and that my brain works well 3 dimensionally. I also learned that engineering is in fact a good career path for me and it plays to some of my strengths. In addition to that it opened my eyes to some other possible careers that I would do well in that are intriguing to me. From these results I think that I will continue to pursue engineering and I will also look into some other careers that interest me.
